Life’s little pleasures - Are you dressed Properly for Oct 31st?

There are only two weeks until Halloween, are you prepared? Last week, we talked about kids and trick or treat. Let’s talk about the adults’ version this time around.

Halloween is the only day in western civilization that allows anyone to dress anyway they like. This is the day that anyone might dress themselves in such a manner that wouldn’t be normally accepted by society. For this day, many manufacturers created ‘costumes’ for the males and female. Male costumes are usually super heroes with plastic muscles, and female costumes usually involve short pants or super mini skirts that shows off the legs and extra tight top that shows of her bust. Of course there are always some traditional costumes like Wizard and witches or zombies with multiple legs. However, if you were invited to a Halloween party, you wouldn’t want to be a member of the pack of Zombies, this day only comes around once a year, why not make the most of it and stand out?

My classical Halloween look used to stood out. My costume is a Nerd. With the Nerd like shirt and pants, the ruler in the chest pocket, it was simple and was fresh around the early 1990s. As the name Microsoft rose in popularity, the shirt and pants became my standard apparel. By that time, my costume slowly changed into the ‘human costume’. I would simply tell people that I am dressed up like an Earthing .

If you are still not sure what to dress up as, I have some suggestions for you.

For Guys, Willy Wonka, Pirates, Gorge W. Bush, just avoid the classic superman, batman or alike, unless you can really look good in those skin tight.

For Ladies, it all depends on your personal preferences. I would suggest you to dress like Morticia Adams from the Adam’s family, Morticia gives off a traditional blue-blood scary feel. You want to be attractive, scary, and irresistible but not slutty. If you are showing too much flesh, then maybe you would like to be with the bench warmers in this video from YouTube.

Mini-skirts are very attractive, but if it is too short, it gives the wrong messages. For a pair of wacky skirts, check out kotaku’s site. There is a pair of DIY Mario skirts. Remember, the last thing you need on Halloween night is a visit to the local General ward or police station.

If you are still clueless like me, I would suggest you dress up like an Earthling. It is the best costume on Halloween :p .
