Road to a Pleasant future, Step 1 - Have faith in yourself
Recently, I was talking to one of the guys from sales. I have always envied people who can sale things for a living. This is simply because I can never picture myself making smiling to grunts and hatred filled faces as they do.
My friend very politely thanked me, but he also pointed out that for me to know him, at one point I was a successful sales person too. He stated that I must have some how sold myself perfectly to past the job interview. Therefore the only difference between a professional sales person and a non-professional sales person, such as me, is simply the amount of faith you have in the product you are selling.
At the time, I didn’t quite understand what he means by faith, but after reading an article on ShoeMoney’s blog, I realized that is what he meant.
Faith in anything, such as a product or a person, is all based on one’s perception.
It is ideal to have a mini self in your sub-conscience to constantly validate your actions, because this is what separates humans from other animals. Yet, sometime that mini-self would be so harsh that causes the main-self to loose faith in every single action the main-self is attempting to do. This is the first and most important blockage for anyone to live a happy, pleasant life. If you are constantly validating your own actions, since we are all humans we must have at least an equal amount of good and bad decisions or actions, you can increase your self-confidence by focusing on the successes of your life and attempt to bury the failures.
Remember, believe in yourself and have faith in yourself. If you don’t, why should other people have faith in you?

Hi Samson - this is so true. Why on earth would anyone believe in you if you don’t believe in yourself? And the same goes for anything you’re selling. Great post.
