Riding the rocket
Ha, I am on the TTC again! The last time I was in one, it must have been my high school days. The daily repetitive movement of going from home to scarbrough town centre, to Kennedy station and finally stopping at Victoria park station. Those were the fun days, I recall very clearly how each of the movement the RT makes and applied the laws of physics to it, rendering my ability to stand anywhere without safety handles. I also know well the most apporiate staircases to commuite when transfering between trains, the proper obstacles to avoid, etc…
Now that I am on a business trip to downtown Toronto, representing both the college and university, I find myself foriegn to the once familiar pace. The saddest part of all is that I find myself clinging for life to a metallic pole whenever the compartment displaced.
